For our anniversary, I surprised Eric with a trip to Quogue, on the east end of Long Island. We had perfect weather and a jam packed, and amazingly fun weekend. We stayed at the new Shearwater Inn, in East Quogue, where we had delicious breakfasts (hello, stuffed french toast) and a gorgeous room. The first night we were there we ate at the (in?)famous Finn McCools (Gordon Ramsay redid the restaurant on Kitchen Nightmares); the food was pretty good--we both agreed the chicken wings were the best we've ever had! Check out the pictures to see what else we did on our weekend getaway! Have you ever been out East on Long Island? Do share!

We stumbled into Hampton Music & Arts where Eric schooled the owner on banjos. It was a very cool store to walk around. Apparently Paul Simon shops there!

We went to the Shinnecock Museum, where we saw these gorgeous statues. Eric's favorite was the above one; it shows a courtship, and the detail was amazing!

This was my favorite sculpture; look at that quilt!

Me and a cool mural at the Shinnecock Museum.

Of course we went to the beach; here's the banjo man himself, soaking up some sun.

I frolicked in the water! There was not a cloud in the sky!
