Today is Princess Kate's birthday. We here at Lovely love the princess for many reasons: one, she went to St. Andrews and lived in Baby Brother Lovely's dorm. Two, she seems really gracious and kind. Three, doing style posts on her is sort of hard, since she has a love for Zara, and we can afford Zara. It's not fun trying to find cheap versions of what she's wearing when she's wearing affordable clothes to begin with. I love that she rocks so much ready to wear.
I styled her engagement outfit for two reasons: this dress is iconic and we will all forever think of her in blue with black pumps, it's so simple and elegant. Also, in a search high and low for dresses which look amazing on me I've stumbled upon Lauren by Ralph Lauren's matte jersey dresses. The short sleeve, cap sleeve and long sleeve styles are gorgeous. They have an easy, comfortable fit- yet they look so chic, put together and effortless. Also: they don't wrinkle. LIKE EVER. I can't think of anything better.
