Hurricane Chic

Last Thursday I went to the mall, and while I was in the mall, the rains came...I could hear the rain on the roof of the mall! Well, instead of driving in the rain, I headed into Lord and Taylor for their 50% off jacket sale. I desperately needed a raincoat. I am a huge coat/jacket fan, but out of all the coats I have, I didn't have one to protect me from the rain. After trying on 5738 trench coats, it finally dawned on me that maybe I'm just not a trench person. Also, I don't really see the point in buying a "rain coat" without a hood? Right? Anyone else with me on this one? Anyway, when I came across this Packable Coat from Laundry by Shelli Segal, I fell in love with it. A) I love that it has a zipper! If the rains are shooting down at me, buttons just won't cut it! B) It has a hood. C) It comes with a little bag to pack it in. And D), it has a really nice shape to it! It may not be a classic trench, but it's stylish, very comfortable, and has "easily-to-roll-up" sleeves, so I could wear it in any weather. Luckily, I bought this just in time for the hurricane! What rain coat do you wear? (Now I just need rain boots!)
