Today's Gift Guide is inspired by:
"Your Brooklyn Based, Non-Profit Working, Music Obsessed Best Friend."
When I was in college I came across The Hunger Site, which is an awesome website in which you can buy a myriad of gifts...and the money is given back to feeding people in need. For example, this Big Bass Band Bangle Bracelet, which is only $6.95, funds 25 cups of food. Um, hello: why wouldn't you buy from here this holiday season and help others, as well as giving your much loved friends a treat? Your best gal will love this brass bracelet to wear dressed up or down, with jeans or her little black dress. It's a gorgeous design, no? When I came across these Vintage Record CD Sleeves/Labels from See Jane Work ($10), I knew it was the perfect gift for your music loving girl. She can record her own music on these, or make mix CDs for everyone.
The "big gift" (at $34.95) is also from The Hunger Site; it's an Alpaca Wool Hooded Scarf which is sure to keep her warm while she bounds all over Brooklyn this winter. Also, it funds $50 worth of food! While she's all bundled up in Brooklyn, she'll probably hit up the Green Market, so make sure she has a stylish and functional bag to carry her vegetables home in; the Baby Baggu from Reform School ($6) will serve both purposes beautifully (and she can carry all her new homemade CDs in it, too!)
I never knew about The Hunger Site. I'll be doing gift shopping there from now on!!
