This Sunday is the Harvest Moon! What does that mean, Lovelies? It means that the moon is at the "period of fullness that is nearest to the autumnal equinox." The Harvest Moon is also known as the Wine Moon, the Singing Moon and the Elk Call Moon, which is why when I saw this gorgeous set of handmade dishware from Steve Williams Pottery in Banner Elk, North Carolina, which featured moons, I knew it would be the perfect accompaniment to our Harvest Moon celebration. I especially love the Small Pie Plate; what better time of year than the Harvest Moon to collect apples, peaches, pears, and pumpkins to make delicious pies in your new moon-centered Pie Dish. This dish would be a great mother's day gift, present for a new bride and groom, or simply as a lovely decoration for the wall. I adore the image of the moon rising, stars twinkling, and pastures full of dew, waiting for to be grazed and danced upon with barefeet. This Pie Plate is "Safe for the microwave, oven and dishwasher and lead free." That makes it a perfect addition to your kitchen, just in time for prime baking season! Happy Harvest Moon, Lovelies!
