When starting a company and trying to brand yourself, you are urged to come up with what Lovely Gent JR calls "elevator speech"-- a 15 second or less description of who we are, what we do, and why we do it. This dress from Modcloth might be the new elevator speech-- Cottage Couture. Maybe when someone asks what exactly Lovely At Your Side is, I should just retort with "Cottage Couture, Tea Party Appropriate" and a smile. Upon the perfection of the name the dress is nothing if not entirely lovely, tea party appropriate and longing to be in my closet. I know the dress is a little spring/summery, but forgive me in my cold state for trying to preserve a bit of warm weather and forget that I am, at this moment, bundled in flannel, argyle socks and fluffy sweaters. This dress can make the heart feel light no matter what season, just putting it on would make anyone feel better, improve their mood. Make them want to serve fresh lemonade and slices of watermelon. And while seasonably inappropriate, it is a lovely idea.
