Well, I must be magic or something, because I was just thinking this dress would be perfect for the Long Island Fall Festival a friend of my recently reminded me of and then I received a letter from the Town of Huntington with the details of the festival as well as the website. The festival falls on Columbus day weekend, October 9-12, includes a meatball eating contest and will have more than 300 different vendors. You can bet I'll be there, feet in cowboy boots, arms in jean jacket and, hopefully, the rest of me in this adorable summer to fall number, the Abstracted Asters Dress from Anthropologie.
The pattern makes me crave that small space between watermelon and apple pie- summer-fall. When you layer for the morning, but by noon you've shed two layers and require an iced coffee to get you through the afternoon. Good thing the dress has pockets so you can ditch your purse in the car, and tote around your cardigan and jean jacket and still have a hand for iced tea and a hot dog. Carnival rides, music, independent sellers and most importantly food make for a great weekend festival, so maybe we'll see you there. How about it, Lovelies?
