Last Saturday I had a wedding in Central Park, remember- besides teaching, this blog and generally being awesome, I also marry people. I had a lovely morning walking through our old neighborhood (Father Lovely lived on one side of 71st and Columbus and then the other), through Central Park and at the Ladies' Pavilion. I'd never been to the Ladies' Pavilion, it's so gorgeous! The coolest thing about the weddings I officiate is that they bring me to places I've never been before. I lived in New York for 4 years and never went to the top of the Empire State Building until a lovely couple wanted to get hitched up there. I lived on and off right outside Central Park on 71st and had never been to the Ladies' Pavilion- what a sight!
