Goodbye, Earl.

The other night Eric and I were sitting on the couch, watching Spin City, and I was browsing my phone, reading Twitter...I came across a tweet from Steve Martin saying that banjo legend Earl Scruggs had passed away. Now, ordinarily Eric doesn't care much about celebrities or even most musicians, but when I told him about Earl, he was heartbroken. As a banjo player himself, Eric was so influenced by the Scruggs style of playing. Earl Scruggs was a man who made country music what it was today, as well as inspiring many, many musicians to pick up a banjo and pick! We're sad to hear of his passing, but we will always think of him whenever a banjo is plucked and adored.
