Remember the other day when I was gearing up to finally (mid-summer) buy some summer clothing? Well, Old Navy had nothing but teacher khakis, so I headed over to Ann Taylor Loft. I love The Loft because a) they have a teacher discount (wahoo!), and b) they have an awesome petites section. I don't know if you've noticed, but this married lady is short, short, short. As in, I stopped growing in middle school short. The Loft was having a 40% off lowest price sale items, so I bought cool and crisp navy colored poplin pants--and they didn't need to be hemmed! Love petites. I'm also seriously coveting these 70's style light jeans. I adore the side buttons, the chambray material, and the flare of the pants. Also, I'm a big fan of flat front pants, you can tuck in or wear shirts over them. They aren't on sale, so I'm going to go back with teacher's discount in hand to pick up a pair--I can't wait!

PS. True story: Jenny and I wore bell-bottoms our whole childhood. We each had a pair of navy blue velour bell-bottoms (stretch, mind you), and wore them to death. I miss those pants!
