When I was a senior in high school, weeks before graduation, my mother and I went out for lunch one day in Oyster Bay. We stumbled into a boutique women's clothing store, and as we were browsing, my mother came upon a rack of Lily Pulitzer items. Now, I wasn't totally preppy back then, I had some funk in me (let's just say I was known to wear short black shirts with long red jackets to my preppy private school--I literally epitomized "Short Skirt, Long Jacket." And, don't even get me started on my snakeskin pants, or long black skirts over gold leggings look. Man, times have changed for me!).

But, something about the Lily textiles drew me in. I loved the color choices, the bright patterns, and most of all, the adorable style dresses. While my mother scoffed at the dress prices, she did come upon the Lily bathing suits. They weren't cheap, but they were gorgeous--The Nautilus One Piece suits came in a variety of colors, but I was immediately drawn to the green fish pattern, and a more pink paisley pattern. Mom encouraged me to try them on, and when I did, I knew they had to be mine. These two bathing suits became my graduation present, and my most prized summer possession. They came everywhere with me, and still do! That was over seven years ago, and they are still holding up strong! The colors are just as gorgeous and vibrant as the day I bought them.

Luckily for us, Lily still stocks this suit, which I can guarantee you, will be flattering on any body type. I don't typically encourage readers to spend more money than need be, but I am telling you, this suit is worth it! (Stay tuned for cheaper suit options soon!)
