Well, Lovelies, we made it! Another Friday is here. What are you all doing this weekend? Anything outrageous? I've been looking forward to this weekend for a long time for two major reasons: E's family is in town and I'm making this amazing recipe for Banana Coconut Cream Pie in honor of this lovely weekend visit. I've made this recipe before and it came out pretty good!..it's not an easy recipe to figure out, and one sort of has to literally move fast to throw the whole thing together, especially with the making meringue (and making this pie was my first, ever, attempt at making meringue--usually, that's Jenny's thing!). I'm really looking forward to getting it right this time and working out all the kinks that I learned from last time I made it; I'm even hauling an electric hand mixer on cars, trains, and subways today because I don't have my coveted Kitchen Aid mixer (yet!).

If you don't have time to bake a banana cream pie this weekend, than check out these beautiful and delicious smelling soaps from Etsy. This Banana Cream Sugar Scrub from the store Be Good Naturals is 8 ounces of body scrub for under ten dollars (yes!) and is made "with pure cane sugar suspended in a base Shea butter, jojoba oil, and Castile soap." It's sure to leave you feeling smooth as butter and smelling delicious, like banana cream pie! What's a better way to end a crazy week than to scrub down with natural ingredients and bask in the bath? Sounds lovely.

If you're more into soap than body scrub, try out the Banana Cream Pie Soap from Naturally Pampered. I love this bar of soap, made from shea butter, because it literally looks like a banana cream pie! How adorable. I love that they mimic merengie in a bar of soap. Brilliant. What a great idea for a gift for guests, a bridal shower, mother's day, or just to make your bathroom smell like a bakery!

What pie would you mimic in a soap? Have a lovely weekend!
